w00t I got a new pair of sunnies .. nice Nikes .. made in italy so it says .. nice n light .. made of polycarbonate .. opto goes its bulletproof but it aint scratchproof (in cantonese o course) .. n its like haha yes it will stop a bullet woohoo. Had my eyes checked while I was there. Havnt had it checked since 1999 so I guess it was time to see how my eyes were .. and its still the same! yay! All this time in front of the computer helped my eyes hehah Considering I started uni in 1999, means I havnt checked it once since i've started uni and nothings come bad of it, which is goodo :) 75 in the right eye, 50 in the left. good stuff. He also gave discount on the sunnies .. RRP 239. . jus made it 200 .. since i could claim it back on medicare. w00t yay Might post a pic of it when i get my webcam going agin ..

Watched Daredevil yesterday. Another one of them Marvel comics turned into movies, was prettay goodo. Not because of Ben Affleck, but Jennifer Garner of course. MMmM :D I don't think that red spandex suit suited Ben Affleck .. not quite sure if he really fit the role of DD, but anyhow .. JG as Elektra .. what more could you want :) Now I can't wait til they bring back Alias..and the better. Knowing Ch7, they'll probably screw us around left right and centre before they do. Heard that they gonna be making an Elektra movie now with Jennifer Garner. If that's the case, I can't wait to see it .. probably be a while before that happens anyhow. Only one thing screwed up the movie, and it wasn't the movie itself. Some asshole decided to light up in the cinema and smoke! Friggin not once but twice. The first time, I could only smell cigarette smoke .. and I was wondering whats the smell and wheres it coming from .. but the second time, I actually saw who it was when they decided to light up. And I'm like .. oh piss off .. a cinema is a non-smoking area .. I so wanted to get up and tell him off .. but that would ruin my movie. They should put smoke detectors in the cinemas. bleh.

I gotta start to learn J2EE real soon. Damn coop bookshop outta stock of the text book I need for one of me subjects, reserved one for when they come in next week hopefully, the guy said theres 10(!?) on the way .. wonder why so lil .. maybe cos everyone else has got em and i'm jus late hehe. But yeah.. all this reading up on the net gettin me tired, and so dont want to do this work. Oh well, put up with this for another 3months and hopefully I'm outta here. Managed to bump into an old high school friend at Uni, saw him from behind, and shouted out to him .. after letting him pash his g/f of course :) He was surprised to see me and wondering what I was doing there .. I don't know why that would be since I'm the one that goes to USyd when he graduated from UNSW and he was at MY uni heheh but he's doing his MComm and im doin my MIT so it all works out.

My 3rd year straight at applying for graduate programs at big azz companies. Wonder if luck will prevail this year. I am getting tired of thinking of answers to these BS questions. Especially ones like these: Given current market conditions what do you think <insert company name here> should do to remain competitive? (Max 100 words). Its like .. what the hell you expect us measly ol graduates to do, keep up to date all the time?! .. especially when all I want is a job with a reputable company that I believe I can offer my services and they offer me their rewards in return :) Its not too much to ask is it? So here I am, applying for jobs on the day they are due. Should be able to finish em in time. Then to other conquests. w00t

Big long rant today .. makes up for none during the past week? What did I get up to in the past week. Hmm. Damn this short term memory loss I seem to have gotten the past few years. I can never remember things I need to remembenr when I need to, and remember em later on when I don't want to. it sux bigtime. Dad says to go and get some prescription sunnies tomorrow. Wonder if the opto has any good ones to get. Been wearing the same ol ones for who knows how long.. 7 years at least.
Report due monday, duno whats going on with that. Luckily not assessible but it would be good if i had an idea of what i was doing.

voting day today .. the all decisive view on who will govern the state for the next 4 years .. and i just got back from voting at my good ol primary school .. things dont seem to change there. Took the dog for a walk since everyone else in the family already went to vote in the morning whilst I was still sleeping heheh gotta enjoy the sleep-ins :)
goddamn the big ballot paper seems to get larger every 4 years .. it wont even fit into the voting booth .. why are there so many weirdass parties out there .. and why do people decide to join em? who knows...
Once again, Labor should win .. hopefully .. Carr's been doing a good job. Brogden nobody really knows about .. what experience he has .. where hes going to get the money for his policies from if he ain't gonna be cutting back on anything else when he wants to improve other things ....

Was just watching the 9 news telecast on the "war" on iraq .. getting its footage from the ABC network from the US .. some reporter in a hotel in baghdad filming the bombs hitting targets in iraq .. goddamn theyre hitting em hard .. you get silence for 30seconds or so and then BOOOM big blast and orange flares up somewhere .. exciting stuff .. makes me wanna play Ghost Recon :) Hope someone comes up with an Iraq-style MOD or something hehe be good .. or C&C Generals has an addon for the Iraqi conflict heheh

and so it begins ..

the war has started .. and the blanket coverage on tv across all stations covering it live .. bush had announced the attack .. tomohawk cruise missiles have been launched and the 3rd air strike in an hour has gone by already ... Bush says that this war may be longer than expected .. not days .. maybe weeks .. months .. hopefully not years.

Opposition Leader simon crean has legal advice saying that it was illegal to launch an attack, whereas the PM has advice sayin it is legal. Who is right? What happens if it is illegal? Is someone going to take the PM to the International Criminal Court for war crimes?! now that will be a sight if it happens ...

Why has it come to this? Bush's ploy to take control of the oil markets? He says nothing will stop til the US have victory, that is the only outcome. What is determined as victory? What if they never find Saddam? They havnt found bin Laden yet have they? or have they?

Lets just hope it wont get out of hand. We all know Saddam has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical. If they were to be used, who knows what will happen. Retaliation of the worst from the best.

I have nothing but respect for our forces out there, and wish them the best and come back in one piece. Not in a body bag.

Went to the doctors this morning .. after all week of coughing and feverish and headache n stuff .. and tis the usual virus wif prescription of amoxil .. 500mg one .. hm i seem to be taking stronger ones each time. I'm probably becoming immune to the damn thing.
Still stuck with this headache tho .. makes me wanna sleep. Cept theres this 5pg report due Tuesday that I still gotta start but have no motivation to right now .. maybe tomorrow ...

End of first week of my last semester of my MIT (hopefully! :) .. and the lecturers have been kind enough to outline the assessments .. and from what I gather there seems to be quite a lot of work to do! ARGh i dont know if i can handle it all. Majority of it is coding. I can see myself doing some hardc0re c0ding at h0me. Yes. Right.
During ecommerce tech, the lecturer said due to some sorta academic alliance with Micro$oft we might be getting free copies of .NET to take home. Yay. Not that I know a thing about it but free M$ software. Original. No cash involved. Why wouldn't I be happy :)
So now theres 2 subjects where .NET or J2EE can be used .. except I have no idea on either .. one must correct that situation. Soon.

Thats if Dynomite doesn't keep my away from my work all the time hehe Got a high score, rating "Tyrant Lizard". Think I should stop playing that and start this report due Tuesday. Yes. Good idea me thinks. So is sleep, so that first, everything else later.

Just watched Infernal Affairs this arvo . .and that movie like .. rocked! I haven't seen an Azn flick like that for a while. Pretty intense with a few twists .. but easily predictable if one watches properly. I can see why Hollywood bought remake rights to the movie. . supposedly Brad Pitt and his team won the rights .. and it will be interesting to see what type of movie they come up with .. but I doubt it'd be as good as IA.
And now since they gonna be making it into a trilogy, with the next one a Prequel based on the events of the past 10 years, that will be something to watch, as long as it ain't done like other triad vs cop movies of the past.

Okay it was me .. it worked now after I posted this originally .. think it was the server cache .. so yeh .. goodo!

Uni .. well .. it was boring .. covering back the C++ basics .. I wasnt expecting it to go for 2 hrs .. especially in the first week when all my other subjects had only been about 50mins to an hour long. The lecturer said the lectures would only go for 1 to 1.5 hours and lab time's the rest of it .. but tonight it was just 2 hours straight. No break. Not sure if he didn't realise it or if thats his style or if it was only the first lecture that was this long but we usually have a break after an hour .. so sitting there gettin my azz numb aint a good feeling

But after that was all good . .caught up wif my best mate .. and watched Jackass The Movie .. man that is some serious sick shit! Why do people put themselves through that err pain?! It's not like they get paid to do that .. they just think up crazy ideas and act it out. Weirdos. Totally jackasses :) But was good to see them real life persons like Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman .. excellent skateboarders n bmxers doing stunts in a fat suit hehe. Recommendation: Do not watch it just after eating. We did that .. I could feel my won tons coming outta my stomach every 10minutes . Not a pretty sight.
Overall was a good (however sick it was) movie if you can call it that :)

Sis got a copy of the Infernal Affairs VCD from one of her colleagues .. and that is like one of the hot movies out at the moment in HK so it will be good to watch.

Anyhows thats enough ramblings from me for today. I don't know how I manage to do this hehe but we'll see (actually you will) how long this actually lasts :)

ive come down with a fever aregh since monday morning ... and now ive got phlegm and starting to cough .. which doesn't sound too good .. and then its off to uni I go tonight ... I cant believe that I got my first assignment handed out last nite .. which is due NEXT week! luckily it's only a 5 page report on Content Management Systems ... I guess bloggers could be considered a CMS? yay/nay? hmm good question and I only just thought of that now ...
