Mexican or Mexicant?
I haven't blogged for a while as some of you have pointed out, dying for my updates. Why you want me to, I do not know, as there hasn't been much happening. Or if there is, I just haven't been motivated enough to blog about it. Maybe like mukie, I probably just can't be bothered much anymore.

Scored a preview pass to Once Upon A Time In Mexico last week which screened tonight. Took my sister along, which kinda surprised her when I asked her, I think. Haven't really watched a movie at the cinemas with her for a good 5-10 years (yes long time frame, I just cant recall how long :). Considering it is her birthday tomorrow might as well, since I haven't gotten her anything (!) and it was convenient since it was after work.

As the third part in the El Mariachi/Desperado series, OUATIM was slightly more jovial and gory than the previous ones (that I recall, as I havent watched the others for a long time). Johnny Depp providing much of the needed comedy relief throughout all the killing and explosions and flying body parts. Salma Hayek was billed as the leading actress in the movie but didn't really appear that way - she was only in it for a good 15minutes tops here and there. As true to the previous Desperado movie, they had their guitar cases filled with guns, flame throwers and remote control bombs. I'm sure some Latino fans would appreciate Enrique Ingelsias as one of the Mariarchi bandidos.

Had some drinks and a late dinner at the Belgian Beer Cafe last Friday, catching up with some old friends. I still don't know what the sensation is about the Hoegaaden beer. Tastes like wine to me. I'll stick to my spirits thanks. Friends had the Piraaat (arrr arr me aarties!) beer which is 10.5% alcohol ~2.75 standard drinks. One strong beer to last you a while. Note to self: NEVER drink bloody mary again.

I've worked now for almost 9 weeks. Another 3 to go til my probation period is over. I'm still a P-plate professional as a friend called it. Green Ps with a speed limit of 80 if that was the case. Work hasn't been bad, nor has it been great. Lotta project deadlines and a lotta testing to do. The testers there know that I'm a developer more than a tester, and joke around that ever since I've started, all I do is test. Lighten up their workload I guess. Not that me helping them develop would do any good as I don't even know how to code in Informix.

I don't know myself what I'm looking for in this job (or life in general too for that matter..). Where this job is going to take me I am still trying to figure out. Stick it for another 10 months and try to move on, if I even have the experience for anything else. Get to go bowling next month for a "team building" exercise. Looking forward to that at least.

Things to say, things to do, never enough time. (Poor excuse, time is what you make of it, but that's for another day)

Idling Oz
I have finally uploaded my Australian Idol concert photos online on yahoo. Surprisingly, they let me upload all of them, even though they say there's a 30mb limit? Go figure. If you want to view all my photos, message me your yahoo id and ill grant you access to the albums. Otherwise theres too much hotlinking.
Some samples.....

Whilst I'm on the topic of hotlinking, I have been getting so many hits the last few weeks from people searching through google image search looking for Jason Mraz pics that I posted up on my blog a while ago. It was actually a link to a photo and not one of the photos I had up. Has there been a sudden urge for people to check him out? I wonder....
