Merrimous New Year
It's that time of the year again already, and I'd just like to say Merry New Year and a Happy Christmas to all!

I shall be flying off tomorrow (yes Christmas Day) for a while to Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand. Be my first time away from home for Christmas and New Years (that I can recall...) so it'd be an experience.

Any requests for cheap goods, last chance.. drop me an email and I shall see what I can do :)

Jackie has also returned in time for Christmas. We had her cremated and shes in an urn back in her own house. Planning on getting another one in the new year, so it wont be as quiet!

Til next time..

Time flies
It's been 12 months already. This day 12 months ago was the beginning of the end of my freedom. Not knowing what to expect or what I'd end up doing, but here I am.

It doesn't seem that long since I started work. Looking back, I think how I ended up where I am today. Never would I expect to land a job in a company like this, and to now see all the change that's taking place from within. Corporate restructure is a part of life but I'd never imagined it would turn out the way it has. 3 direct managers all gone by the end of the year, re-titled roles (pay rise???), no longer considered a graduate although that had meant jack in the first place.

Funnily enough, its only 12 months later that I'm just halfway through a training course to learn the programming language that our system is built with, and that also means I will end up being rostered as part of the support team next year. FUN!

Who knows what is in store for the next 12 months. I don't know what I want to be doing, just get a feel for what's out there and not get dug into a hole I can't get out of later, which seems a few people there have done.

On another note, it appears we may get another dog. I don't see how we can't cos its just damn quiet without her around. I always have the urge to yell out JACKIEEE when I come home, and stare blankly out the rear door expecting her to be running about and looking in. *sigh*

Reminiscence
Reminiscence is the shits.

As it starts to rain down now, thinking back to other days we would tell her to get back into her house, and she would not listen and jus sit outside the door looking in, getting drenched. Her house that dad and I built. I call it a house as its made of bricks and mortar, with clay tile roofing and gutter, and natural air conditioning. Not a kennel at all. The best place a dog called live in and she did.

At least the Gods are shedding a tear for you as well.

Here's to you Jackie! It's gonna be quiet without you.

R.I.P. Jackie
It's been a short, fun 7 years whilst it lasted. It should've been more. Much longer. You weren't suppose to die so young! why why why! So young, so unexpectedly. No reason. No cause. Hope it was quick and painless.

Gonna miss your whining when I come home.
Gonna miss your jumping around and playing with all your balls and chasing em.
Gonna miss you rolling around and baking in the sun.
Gonna miss you stealing food when I yell out "READY" before mum tells you to go and you walk back sheepishly in shame that you got found out.
Gonna miss you giving me your paws when I call "Gimme Hand" and the other one, and start to walk around on hind legs.
Gonna miss your look of excitement when we put on our shoes to go out, and the look of disappointment when its not you thats going too.
Ironically I was only thinking two days ago of how lil time I had spent with you and playing with you since you were a pup.

May you forever rest in peace in doggy heaven.

R.I.P.
Jackie "Fei Mui" Chan. 7 1/2 (52 doggy) years young.
