General Annihilation
Crawling outta bed this morning was a lil tiring, with my body still sore and aching recovering from yesterday's ball game. Paintball that is. Surprisingly, I didn't get hit as much throughout the day, til the last 'game' which was Free For All (FFA). Before that though, was Unlimited Annihilation game which was just playing team game on the Hyperball field, til you cant bear the pain or run out of paintballs. Durin these 2 games was when I got painted bad. Got a real bad pearler of a welt, which kinda looks like a cigarette burn cept 100 times as big and redder. The rest of my arms, backs n backside got covered as well, so today I've been gently sitting down. I can hardly crouch since I was doing that so much my muscles gone sore.

We played on about 6 fields - Trenches, Fort, Dakota Trail, Snipers n Ferrets, Hyperball, and few others I can't remember the names of and the website is currently down so I cant' double check them. Most of them we played the soccer/capture the flag type game, where the flag is placed in the middle and we needed to take it to the opposite end without gettin shot at. The others were basically elimination cept for Snipers and Ferrets, where one team (snipers) would need to find a hiding spot amongst the shrubs and ferns and not move whilst the other team (ferrets) would come and hunt them out. My cousin, his friend and myself were the lone snipers that survived as we had pretty much lay prone together in the ferns with the ferrets covering the area next to us. There were a few ferrets that were wading through the bushes a few metres away but not seeing us - and us not shooting them due to the distance and the accuracy of the guns, which werent that great.

On 2 of the fields we played the General game. On one field, the person wearing the vests were the General (one on each team) and could not die unless shot below the knees. On another one team had 2 Generals and needed to escort them to the other side of the field, but they would die if they got shot twice on the vest. I of course was lucky nuff to get picked as being a General, considering I gave the referee considerable flack throughout the day (along with my cousins heehe). In the morning before we started, the ref called me over and asked me who the organiser was, and I told em it was my cousin - a chick, and what he had planned wouldnt go well, No way, shes gonna shoot the crap outta me he says. Then I said, shes got a brother. Hes the tall, fat big dude err better not, hes bigger than me. Well theres also her younger brother, hes about tall as me. Okay, whats his name?. Bevan. Right, so my cousin was surprised when they go to him and ask if he was Bevan, and wondering what the hell was going on. Heehee I snicker to myself, love ya bro. Then of course, right at the end, there was a brotherly love Mexican standoff between my 2 cousin brothers. The older, big fat one, got totally painted, mask all coverd in green and his front n sides, whilst Bev was hardly touched.

What I had planned for my sis.. well didn't quite eventuate. She was quite the camper defensive player. Her first hit was only during the mexican standoff between the 2 teams, before we played the Fort. 2 teams about 8metres apart, taking one shot each side, til the last person remained. She got shot on the thigh and she was in immense pain - almost to tears. The ref felt so bad he kept telling her you can get a gun and shoot me heehe.

I wasn't too happy - along with 3 other blokes, who when sitting out in the deadzone after being shot in one of the games, was still shot at by some idiot (one of Bevs friends) who fired about a dozen shots at us, I got hit in the leg along with the others. Think that should be a firing squad offence, but the ref didn heed us, so we set about taking our revenge in the later games.. heh

All in all, it was a fun day and having to work a few hours later was a bit tiring. As long as I wont have to move for a few hours I should be fine and recover heeh. Given the preference of where to play (outta the 2 i've been), I would pick Helensburgh, as its a lot closer and fields seem to be a bit better.

Well thats my recovering skirmish report for now. Til the next fun filled skirmish outing.
